There were a total of 17 golfers participating.
The cost was $65 per player including cart, 18 holes
of golf and party afterwards. It was
noted that this was the start of an unofficial family reunion as well.

The tournament directors were Ed and Dee Bowman.
The party after the tournament was held at the home of
Dick and Millie Cartier in
At each hole, a sign was placed with the name(s) of
loved ones who had deceased.
A good time was had by all.
Note; the idea of having a golf tournament was
conceived by Dee Bowman who noted there were a significant amount of Cartiers who played golf and just might be interested in
participating in an annual golf tournament.
The rest is history. As it turned
out, it is also turning out to be a family reunion as well.
